Embree's and Child's work highlighted in State of the College Address

Dean Sally Morton gave her State of the College of Science address on Thursday September 19th. She highlighted the accomplishments in the college over the past year and addressed what's in store for our future. Her speech touched on many happenings in the college including the work from two mathematics faculty members, Hamlett Professor of the Academy of Integrated Sciences Mark Embree and Assistant Professor Lauren Childs.
Professor Embree, and the CMDA Capstone class he has developed, provides real project experience for seniors before they enter the workforce. (watch Dean Morton's comments on the Capstone experience below)
Professor Childs' work on integrating data on mosquitoes into mathematical models of malaria transmission was mentioned. (watch Dean Morton's comments on the Childs' research below)
