Alum Faizan Hasnany returned to Virginia Tech to talk about his personal journey into a data analytics career with the Chicago Bulls. Currently he is a coordinator of basketball analytics for the Chicago Bulls. The room was to full capacity as he described the challenges he faced breaking into the field. He stressed that two of the most important ways to enter the industry is to study the sport and to network. He gave students an idea of the many available resources for anyone wishing to enter the field.
