Dr. Nguyen's research interests lie in Cluster Algebra and Quiver Representation. His work has so far centered around the bases of cluster algebras. What interest him are both combinatorial and algebraic methods which can help compute basis elements: cluster variables or cluster monomials. The first focus of his research is to develop combinatorial models used to detect cluster monomials of a type A cluster algebra. He has also studied broken lines and theta bases of type A cluster algebras.
